Hello! My name is Al and I'm Toby's dad. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade and an animal lover. Toby and myself reside in Houston, TX and we love to travel. One of our resolutions for 2021 was to get more involved with non-profits that give homeless pets a new lease on life. In our limited time being involved, we noticed that one of the biggest challenges for these non-profits was having enough supplies for the constant influx of homeless pets. Although we provide supplies as often as possible, Toby realized that our contribution alone doesn't fulfill all their needs. Toby wished for a way to contribute more, but I didn't want him to max out my credit cards! That is where the idea for "Peace Love Toby" came from. It's purpose is to showcase that strength in numbers could make a difference towards a good cause. Toby's deals was added as a benefit to keep our members engaged and coming back for more. In short, "Peace Love Toby" was started in February of 2021 with hopes of being able to contribute more towards non-profits while hosting an online community of like-minded animal lovers.

One of the main member benefits of joining "Peace Love Toby" is exclusive access to Toby's deals. These deals are sent via email every weekday (Monday - Friday) at a random time of the day. The email contains a description of the item(s) on sale and a direct link to checkout. There are a very limited amount of items on sale each weekday and they are strictly on a first-come-first-serve basis. Unfortunately, no rain checks will be offered. Once all items are sold out, members will have to wait until the next weekday for Toby's next deal. All items sold via Toby's deals are a minimum of 50% off retail pricing and shipping is free!

Some of gift cards that could be expected to be on sale include, but are not limited to the following retailers: Amazon, Starbucks, Target, Best Buy, Apple Store, and Walmart. We will be starting with deals on smaller gift card amounts, but as this site grows, so will the amounts. Tell your friends and family about us. The larger our community, the better the deals!

Toby's deals is a benefit meant to keep members engaged in our cause and have them coming back for more. All of Toby's deals are sold at a significant loss (50% off minimum). In order to be able to contribute towards the main cause (animals in need), it wouldn't be economically viable to offer a greater quantity of items at a significant loss. In order to keep it fair for all members; all items are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis and emails are sent at a random time of the day.

The main goal of "Peace Love Toby" is to provide supplies for pets in need, but we do realize that people may subscribe solely for Toby's deals. This means the actual portion that goes towards pets in need may vary depending on the demand for the daily deals. We would like to keep member turnover to a minimum, so we may alter the amount of deals to accommodate as much demand as possible, while staying true to the main cause (animals in need). While it does cost money to run a website, accept payments, ship items, and send mass emails; we do our best to keep expenses low. The dream is to be able to provide a lump sum of supplies at the beginning of every month and if it is greater than what Toby + myself would have contributed, then it is completely worth it. I will be adding additional page(s) to this website for all of Toby's updates/contributions once we are better established.

To begin with, yes. We will be focusing on non-profits in Houston,TX as those are the ones we are most familar with. Once this site grows a bit more, we can start thinking about reaching out to other non-profits in areas outside of Houston,TX.

Toby already has what seems like an end-less supply of treats at home, but every once in a while I may let him steal a treat from the boxes of treats that we will be donating.

This site will have to grow a bit more before we can offer additional benefits. The first benefit that would be upgraded is Toby's deals. We envision offering game systems, tablets, phones, and much more at a significant loss to keep members engaged. Some of the other ideas that we are pondering include: Starbucks gift card runs, a private Instagram account, a forum for members to interact with one another, birthday cards, and Toby site visits.
